The Pros and Cons of Bid Protests: "Corrective Action" and Other Strategies for Success
This 90-minute webinar will discuss this and other strategies of bid protests, both for the protesting company and for the “intervener” company whose contract award is being protested. We’ll examine the pros and cons of filing a bid protest; deciding when to intervene; the internal discussions that take place between the contracting officer and agency counsel; what forms corrective action can take; and much more.
The 5 W's of Bid Protests
The 90-minute webinar will center on bid protests at the U.S. Government Accountability Office, but will also explore protests filed with the procuring agency as well as protests filed at the U.S. Court of Federal Claims. The speakers will look at strategic factors that participants can use to determine which protest forum is best in any given situation. Finally, the presentation will outline the mechanics of filing a protest at the U.S. Government Accountability Office (the most popular forum), including a discussion of the importance of satisfying the timing requirements in order to obtain the automatic stay of contract performance.
